overwhelming cuteness, and a note about the redesign

This is so totally passe since it’s two days after Halloween, and at this point I should really just save it for the week in review, but, well, I can’t.

Elanor was a skunk for Halloween.

Elanor was a skunk for Halloween.

Seriously. I cannot handle the cuteness. Someone gave us the hat (which is from Hanna Andersson) when she was born, and Brett and I fell in love with it. She wore it all last winter, in rotation with the hat Brett’s mom made for her. I loved that it tied on, for one thing, and I loved that it was different than the traditional baby hat.

When we were in Portland last week, my mom and Brett’s mom and Brett’s sister and I went to the Hanna Andersson outlet. I wanted to see if I could find more hats in that style, hats that cover the ears and tie under the chin.

Not only did I find three similar hats for $2 each (that’s right! $2!!!), but I found that costume. A skunk costume. Made to go with the hat we already had. And it was on sale for $5! Clearly, it is worth more than that; she’s beyond adorable in it. I’m so glad we found it!

Also, I didn’t mention this in yesterday’s post, but obviously I’ve picked a new site design for the time being. At some point, I want to design my own theme, but I have neither the skill nor the time at this point in my life, so a pre-designed one it is. And I’m happy with it. It’s a little brighter than I initially thought I wanted, but I need a little color in my life. I’m pretty excited about the new look. The more I learn WordPress, the more excited I am about the possibilities for what I can do. Keep your eyes peeled for more small changes over the next few weeks as I continue to learn!
