two weeks in review, 10/29
It’s been a long two weeks! Being in Portland was good, but I’m definitely glad to be home. It was fun to hang out with our families; I got to spend a lot of quality time with our families and I even got to see a couple of friends.
This update is kind of spotty. It doesn’t have every day, or even close to it. But I hope it gives a good idea of our last couple of weeks, anyway.

Friday, 10/17: My nephew Zachary came to visit us, and in addition to him doing guy things with Brett (riding mopeds, blowing up fruit with bottle rockets, etc), I made real hot cocoa on the stove and we played Clue. It was a great evening.

Sunday, 10/19: Brett hangs out with Zachary and Elanor and me while we wait for the cab to take us to the train station for our trip to Portland.

Tuesday, 10/21: Noni and Amy and I took Elanor to the Oregon Zoo for the first time, where we got to see the new baby elephant, Samudra. (He and his mama are in the background here.) Elanor was tired, though, and kept getting her fingers while we were watching the elephants.
Wednesday, 10/22: At Noni’s house. Elanor played in Brett’s old chair. I love her outfit in this pic; Noni had bought it for her at Hanna Andersson the day before.

Friday, 10/24: Elanor taking a bath at Mema's house. My mom was really excited to give Elanor a bath and let her play with all the bath toys.

Saturday, 10/25: We visited with Grandma Dori for a while. She was, as always, happy to see Elanor. Here they are with Rachel. A side note: Elanor did remember Rachel, which really made both Rachel and me happy. (I think Rachel would have been heartbroken if Elanor had acted like she didn't know her.) It was really sweet to see the two of them back together again and made us realize how much we enjoyed having Rachel live with us this summer.
And that’s it. I don’t really have any from this week; I was kind of pictured-out after last week, honestly. I haven’t picked up the camera since Sunday. I need to get back in the swing of things but this week has been relatively busy so I haven’t done it.
So there you have it, our busy, fun, family-filled last two weeks.

OMG, that video is too cute! The grin on her face towards the end when she pulls up on the chair and almost tips it over kills me. Love Elanor videos!
